Tripura Launches T-RISE to Power the Next Startup Generation
Tripura has launched the T-RISE portal to connect startups with mentors, investors, corporates, incubators and government agencies. The initiative, supported by T-Hub, aims to strengthen innovation, funding and entrepreneurship across the state.
The Government of Tripura has launched the T-RISE (Tripura Registry & Integration for Startup Ecosystem) Portal as part of efforts to strengthen entrepreneurship, innovation and technology-driven growth in the state. The platform was unveiled during the “Building a Unicorn in Tripura” workshop held in Agartala in collaboration with Hyderabad-based T-Hub.
The initiative is designed to help emerging entrepreneurs develop high-growth and scalable businesses by bringing startups, mentors, investors, corporate partners, incubators, academic institutions and government agencies onto a common digital platform.

According to the state government, T-RISE will provide entrepreneurs with access to a network of more than 20 mentors, over 10 investors and more than 10 corporate partners. The platform will also connect Tripura's global community of technology professionals, entrepreneurs and domain experts with startups in the state.
The portal is part of Tripura's broader startup strategy under its New Sector-Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy, which seeks to promote entrepreneurship and employment across sectors. The state has also established T-NEST, a state-level incubation centre at the International Business Centre in Hapania, offering startups incubation, mentorship, technical assistance and market linkages.
Since the startup policy was launched, there has been an increase in participation in Tripura. Over 185 startup applications are received and 140 have been approved for registration and 70 have been recognised as startups. The government has assisted in the form of financial aid of over ₹2.72 crore via various schemes such as Tri-Seed Fund, Proof of Concept, and operational funding.
It is hoped that the alliance with T-Hub will foster the state's capacity to reach out to startup expertise, accelerator programs and extended innovation networks. It will facilitate the implementation of the startup policy and provide a platform for the entrepreneurs to get exposure to the investors and markets outside Tripura.

The workshop also featured government officials, startup founders, investors, industry and academia representatives. The launch is an attempt by the State to create a more integrated startup ecosystem in the north-eastern region of India, with policy initiatives, incubation facilities, digital platform, and industry partners.
The state through the T-RISE and other programs, seeks to bring about an increase in the availability of capital, mentorship, technology and markets, and fostering innovation and creation of quality job opportunities.
