Zen Mobility, Delhivery Partner for EV Rollout India
- Zen Mobility partners Delhivery for nationwide EV deployment
- Thousands of electric vehicles planned over next five years
- EVs reduce logistics costs and improve fleet efficiency
Electric mobility startup Zen Mobility has entered into a strategic partnership with Delhivery to accelerate the deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) across India, reinforcing the push toward sustainable logistics. The collaboration marks a significant expansion of their existing relationship, which began over two years ago and has already demonstrated strong operational outcomes.
Under the new agreement, the companies plan to deploy thousands of purpose-built EVs over the next three to five years across Delhivery’s nationwide logistics network. Currently, more than 500 Zen Mobility electric vehicles are already operational within Delhivery’s fleet, highlighting the scalability of the partnership and its readiness for large-scale rollout.
The deployment focuses on last-mile delivery operations, a segment where cost efficiency and reliability are critical. Early results from the partnership indicate up to 35% reduction in last-mile logistics costs, along with vehicle uptime exceeding 90–95% in real-world commercial operations. These performance metrics underline the operational viability of EVs in high-demand logistics environments.

Zen Mobility’s EVs are specifically designed for urban logistics use cases, offering modular configurations, optimized payload capacity, and improved efficiency compared to traditional delivery vehicles. This purpose-built approach enables better utilization, lower maintenance requirements, and enhanced sustainability outcomes.
For Delhivery, the partnership aligns with its broader strategy to decarbonise its logistics network and reduce dependence on fossil-fuel-based transportation. Electrification of last-mile fleets is becoming a key lever for logistics companies aiming to meet environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals while maintaining operational efficiency.
The initiative also reflects a wider trend in India’s logistics and mobility ecosystem, where companies are increasingly adopting EV-led models to reduce emissions and operational costs. With large-scale deployment planned, the Zen Mobility–Delhivery collaboration is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating EV adoption across the country’s rapidly expanding e-commerce and delivery sectors.
